Corpse bride

I’d like to recommend a film which I have watched recently, called “corpse bride”. The director of the film is Tim Burton. It is an animated film.                    

The film was premiered  on 15 october 2005.

The film is a romance and the setting is in a small town in Europe, in the XIX century.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               The main characters are three,a boy and two girls. Emily is the corpse bride,Víctor is the boy and Victoria is the other girl. It is about one boy whose parents force him to marry one girl. ( Víctor and Victoria). The tho families have money problems and this was the cause of the marriage.

Victor escapes to the forest and there he goes to the underworld. There, Victor marries with Emily accidentally but Emily loves Victor. Later, Victor falls for Emily but a mortal  can not marry a corpse because the vows said " until death do you part" and she is dead. Victor accepts the venom to die and stay with Emily forever but she doesn’t want to marry because she loves Victor and she doesn't want him to die.

The things I liked most about the film were the characters and the tragic past of Emily. Some of the scenes are dark because is the style of the director,Tim Burton, but it isn't a scary film. There are some funny scenes but also there are sad scenes.

All in all, I really liked the film, and though it hasn't got a happy ending, I wouldn't change it because Victor marries Victoria and Emily dissappears in the air.
